My mother 94 suffer from Dementia.
She loses metal balance often. It happened 3 years ago when she had a fall from the cot. Scan revealed nothing abnormal. Lately, she turns out very violent, hysteric, and talks incoherently. At times she is very cool, quite sensible, but most times she is violent and keeps shouting. She does not like visitors including grand children. She demands and drinks coffee frequently. Eats a very little. We were giving her NEXITO 10mg at the advise of a Doctor, but this is of little help.

I think you need to take a second opinion. Some other medications may be of help. Dementia management includes psychological interventions also. Consult another psychiatrist
