Hello, This is a common concern among newly married couples, so please don’t panic. Difficulty with penetration can occur due to several reasons, and with the right evaluation and treatment, it is usually manageable. One possible cause is vaginismus, where the pelvic floor muscles tighten involuntarily, making penetration painful or difficult. Other causes include inadequate arousal, anxiety or fear related to intercourse, vaginal dryness, infections, or less commonly, structural abnormalities. I recommend the following: * Do not force penetration, as this can increase pain and anxiety. * Spend more time on foreplay to improve natural lubrication and relaxation. * Use a good-quality water-based lubricant if dryness is present. * Communicate openly with your partner and proceed slowly without pressure. * Schedule an examination with a gynecologist or a qualified sexologist to identify the exact cause. If vaginismus is diagnosed, it can often be treated successfully with counseling, pelvic floor relaxation techniques, vaginal dilator therapy, and guided exercises. Most couples are able to achieve comfortable intercourse after appropriate treatment. A proper consultation will help determine the exact cause and provide a personalized treatment plan. This may be due to vaginismus or inadequate relaxation/lubrication. Consult a gynecologist for evaluation; it is a common and treatable condition.

Hello, It is generally not the tightness of vagina which is the problem. Vagina is generally elastic it adopts to the shape and size of penis. However fear of penetration can cause the issue. Also sometimes partial erection can b an issue.

Difficulty with penetration during the initial days of marriage is more common than many couples realize and is usually treatable. The most common reasons include: Involuntary tightening of the vaginal muscles (vaginismus or genito-pelvic pain/penetration disorder) due to fear, anxiety, or anticipation of pain. Inadequate sexual arousal or insufficient lubrication. Less commonly, a rigid hymen or another anatomical condition that requires evaluation. This does not mean there is anything "wrong" with you, and most women improve with the right guidance and patience.

Health Tips
Do not feel pressured to achieve intercourse immediately after marriage. Focus on building comfort and intimacy without making penetration the only goal. Practice deep breathing and relaxation techniques before intimacy, and avoid comparing your experience with others. With proper evaluation and treatment, the vast majority of couples are able to achieve comfortable and satisfying intercourse. Thank you
