Hi First of all I would like to appreciate you for having knowledge about your illness and medicines. I will try to answer your queries. About the diagnosis that you have asked, a more detailed consultation is required to exactly comment on the diagnosis. Based om the symptoms you have mentioned, commenting on a diagnosis would be premature. Regarding Lithium, you are right that it is excreted through kidneys. It is known to have certain effect on kidneys. However, regular blood tests will be able to pick up any harm to the kidneys. Lithium is usually prescribed for long term, and in many cases for years. With regular monitoring, side effects are usually manageable. With the medicines you have mentioned, I would advise you to avoid driving. Hope that this answers most of your queries. I would also advise that your regular psychiatrist would be in the best position to answer your queries.
