My daughter 1 and a half year old cough

Asked for Female, 27 Years

My daughter (1 and a half year old) is having cough and there is mucus. there is some sound while she breaths that too rarely. We started giving her yesterday night 2 ml of Cetrizine syrup. Doctor has told to give for 3 days daily in night. Her food intake is also less.Please advice can we continue or we have to change.

If mild,just give steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down. Use paracetamol for fever if required. If accompanied by other symptoms like wheezing or breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed,consult your paediatrician.
