My backbone pains.
A single back bone, roughly 4 inches below the shoulder pains regularly (4-5 times a week), it's not severe but it keeps coming without any trigger. Is there any cure, my posture is decent so what other lifestyle change I can bring to reduce it? Do I need consultation?

Most common cause for backache, I would say, is often originating from the para spinal muscles. If you are a person who does desktop job for a significant period of time then the muscular cause is again stressed upon. Try to learn about ergonomics through a good physio. The height of the desk, distance from monitor, the angle that elbow makes when your hands rest on the desk, the posture of sitting, the supports on the back….all needs to be discussed. If you get other symptoms like weakness, radiation of pain downwards, tingling or altered skin sensations, breathing difficulties or urinary symptoms..then that warrants other investigations. Hope this helps.
Next Steps
1. Ergonomic modifications as mentioned. 2. Neurological assessment 3. Basic radiograph if the symptoms keep bothering.
Health Tips
1. Core strengthening exercises concentrating on back muscles will help in preventing of recurrence. 2. Drink lots of water. Disk dehydration can be sometimes a reason. 3. Adequate sunlight exposure. 4. Stretch of back muscles and changing posture every now and then will prevent straining muscles. 5. Sleep on a firm mattress.
