If there is no fever, baby taking feeds well then don't worry. Give chest fomentation as suggested by previous doctor. Also Nasivion saline drops/Nasoclear drops 1 drop morning, afternoon and night for 3 days will help clear the nose and throat
Next Steps
In case of fever ,fast breathing Review with Pediatrician
Its likely a viral infection as his mother also has cold. It will resolve on its own in a few days. Give mucolite drops 0.5ml twice a day. Do hot fomentation of chest. Better to avoid medicines at this age due to risk of complications at this age. If the baby is active, nothing to worry about.
