Mucusy stool
Hello Dr, Baby is 5months old does lot of mucusy stool..we did stool test there are no pus cells or occult blood. If lot of mucus in stool is it any digestive problem? He struggles to pass toilet..I am attaching the stool pic. Plz chk "HE IS EXCLUSIVELY BREASTFED" NOT GIVEN ANYTHING ELSE other than breastmilk

Then you need not worry , just keep a watch over his weight gain, feeding pattern and if he is having any vomiting. This may just be a transient issue , as long as baby is playful , feeding well and gaining weight don't worry. Also feed the baby on one breast for longer so that baby has access to hindmilk which allows satiety and adequate weight gain.
