He got age related changes in Shoulder with degenerate cuff tear and bursitis. If you do of scan of normal people of his age more than 50 percent have same problem with out any pain. Treatment I would suggest is scapular and cuff exercises with physio. If pain not tolerated then subacromial steroid injection then physio.
