Hi sir/ madam, below is mri spine scan impression, can u please help me with is it seriou or life threatening, is operation needed my mother age is 74 at this age can she undergo surgery or can manage without surgery, please help
IMPRESSION:
Lumbar spondylosis
Right foraminal disc bulge at L2-L3 causing mild indentation over
the anterior thecal sac with annular tear.
Bilateral foraminal disc bulge at L3-L4 causing mild indentation
over the anterior thecal sac impinging bilateral exiting nerve roots
with annular tear.
Grade II anterolisthesis of L5 over S1.Central disc bulge at L5-S1
causing moderate indentation over the anterior thecal sac
impinging bilateral exiting and traversing nerve roots.
Whole spine screening shows
o Straightening of cervical spine.
o Cervical and thoracic spondylosis.
o Disc bulges at C3-C4.C4-C5.C5-C6 and C6-C7 causing
indentation over the anterior thecal sac with reduced disc
