MRI Questions
I was in a car accident on 12/8 and the doctor suspected a torn rotator cuff but i couldn't get scheduled for an MRI until this friday and I don't have really any pain anymore. Could it have just been torn muscles and maybe they have completely heeled? Will the MRI show anything since i don't have anymore pain?

Hi, if possible check with your doctor regarding power of cuff muscles. Some patients have cuff tear with out any pain. It is better to have MRI to see whether you got any a symptomatic cuff tear. If you would like to avoid MRI please consult shoulder surgeon to check for cuff muscle strength. By Dr Sivaraman B . Consultant shoulder and elbow surgeon . Chennai
