Hello Doctor,
Our pediatrician suggested to take only MMR-2 Vaccine but not MR-2 vaccine from government. But previously my child got MR -1 vaccine from govt but not MMR-1.
Is it fine to take MMR-2 now but not MR-2?
What's the difference between MR and MMR?
Please suggest. Thank you.

MMR covers measles , mumps and rubella. MR covers measles and rubella only. Mumps is a viral infection that leads to swelling and infection of salivary glands and sometimes other serious complications. If you can pay, better to take MMR vaccine

MR is measles, rubella
MMR is measles, mumps and rubella.
MMR has been replaced with MR in national immunization schedule.
You can take MR alone or MMR but complete the recommended schedule no matter what vaccine you take
