Mountox test
My mother had a mountox test which shows induration 15mm × 18mm. What does it mean? Shall we start some treatment?

Only positive Mantoux test is not an indication for treeatment. The patient’s clinical picture also has to be kept in mind. Please show a pulmnologist who can evaluate your mother and guide you accordingly.

Hi. I understand your concern s. Mantoux alone is not enough for making any diagnosis. Better to consult with a pulmonologist for a detailed examination and investigation like chest x ray and sputum tests.
