Mother seeing double objects
Hello Sir/Madam
My mother is seeing double objects from Last 7 days when got it checked by Eye doctor he said eyes are ok and it is due to high BP and suger. One of my neighbour said it is due to brain problem. Is it so? Or it is because of her suger lever HB1AC 209 AND BP 190/100

Hello
High blood sugars and BP can affect the nerves supplying the muscles of eye which causes eye movements. Weakness of these nerves can lead to defective movement of eye that causes double vision when both eyes are open.
Next Steps
Need to control blood sugars and BP after consulting physician.
Occlusion therapy of affected eye relieves double vision
Health Tips
If she develops new onset neurological symptoms/ headcahe/ vomiting / loss of consciousness/ double vision not improving after 3 months MRI should be taken
