I have a small, normal looking mole that is slightly raised and I've had for a little while but recently it and the muscles around it have been feeling kind of strained. I've only really started noticing it today but I find that I can feel that the mole is there on my shoulder. The thing is it looks completely normal. Do you think there's anything wrong with it?

This presentation can be seen with many skin diseases. The best option is to consult a Dermatologist. Moles are usually benign in our country but any change in shape, size and colour should warrant an examination and if needed a skin biopsy should be performed without hesitation. It is always reassuring to get a diagnosis and feel comfortable about the same. Hope it helps you.
Next Steps
Meet a Dermatologist and discuss the situation, If needed a skin biopsy can be done to achieve a final conclusion.
