Missed period with negative pregnancy
My wife's menstrual cycle is 25 or 26 days every month. This month her period due date was on 25th. But, she missed her period but on 29th of this month she noticed a light spotting. On consultation with doctor she advised her to take basic pregnancy test at home. She did the same but the result was negative. Why this sudden abnormality in her period cycle? What could be reason for spotting? Is spotting is different from menstrual bleeding? What could be the inference from her delayed period?

Sometimes these type of episodes are common but they should not repeat so if it repeats then show to a gynaecologist to rule out the cause of the problem.
