Minoxidil for beard growth.

Hi! I'm a 22yr old boy with a fairly good beard but I have several spots on the cheeks that have thin vellus hair which makes my beard look patchy. The same is near the connector area between the moustache and chin. Should I try Dr Reddy's Mintop Minoxidil 10% to get rid of those vellus hair? I've already read a lot of articles regarding the side effects and seen videos which show minoxidil results...
