Mild swelling under armpit
Hello dr I m 37 years old female...i have some mild swelling under left armpit...i have done breast ultrasound..report is normal...my dr said this is only fat..i have done 2 times ultrasound but report is normal...but i m worried..is ultrasound can detect any lump or should i go for mammography

Hi , Ultrasound has detected fat in the bulge of the armpit … Get a mammography done to come to a conclusion And if the findings are same and it’s bothering you while wearing cloths . You can consult a plastic surgeon to get it removed either by liposuction or a surgical intervention by giving very small incisions hidden under the armpit

no need to worry until the size of the swelling is not getting increased get follow-up ultrasound for every three months If you're asymptomatic like no pain no nipple discharge no discomfort no need to worry till then

It might be axillary fat or axillary tail of spence.can go for USG/FNAC to get a clear picture
