Mild swelling on thyroid
Hi, I have a mild swelling on the right side of my neck, located on my thyroid, being a bit hoarse and feels a bit hard to swallow my saliva, i had an ear infection on that side but its being treated, also ben to a doctor that checked my throat with a camera and said it looked all fine, but as I still have the swelling on the right side and is still a bit sore to the touch im worried, could it be a tumor on my thyroid or something like that?

More probably a level 4 neck node has flared up due to a throat inflammation at level of vocal cords. ALWAYS REMEMBER: In Cancers, painless hard swellings are the norm! They MUST be investigated. In lymphomas, multiple painless spongy swellings. As your is neither, meet your ENT to get throat re-examined if it persists or pain worsens after a couple of days. A course of anti-inflammatory medicines should help your immune system repair the lesion.
