Mild chest pain
I have been having mild chest pains, short duration, randomly occurring, for the past 1 week at least...what could be the causes? What tests can give more clues about the cause?

Angina Pectoris SX – CP, SOB, heaviness, pressure, radiation, dyspnea on exertion, choking, N/V. Stage 1: only with unusual strenuous activity. Stage 2: w/ slightly more than usual ADL. Stage 3: Angina w/ usual daily activity. Stage 4: Angina at rest. PE – CV (tachycardia), lungs (tachypnea).
Next Steps
DX – Lipids, EKG (ST segment depression), Echo (EF). CXR, exercise stress test. • Imaging (stress echo, coronary angiography = coronary cath).
Health Tips
TX – 1) Non Medical Options: Exercise. Healthly low salt, low fat diet. Minimize stress. No smoking. 2) Medical Treatment: • Aspirin (81mg or 325mg) daily, or Clopidogrel 75mg QD. • Blood Pressure medicine (Eg: atenolol, metoprolol, benazepril, amlodipine etc). • Nitroglycerin 0.4mg, as needed only for chest pain, AND Isosorbide Mononitrate Extended Release 30mg daily. • Cholesterol lowering medicines (Eg: Pravastatin, Ezetimibe). 3) Surgical options: Include Angioplasty with Stent placement, and the famous Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG).

which side ..fr wat duration..does it radiate to left side..do u hv ever high bp problem. recent onset chest pain at ur age with no such history in past is most of the time gastric etiology. do u smoke?
