Messed up childhood memories
My dad used to drink alot and beat my mom up when I was in 13 till when I was 16. After that me and my siblings moved out to study and asked my grandparents to move my parents with them so that dad wouldn't beat her. I am 25 now, working independent. But I still get nightmares and once I remember my childhood I get depressed and can't stop crying.

Hello dear, I can understand the pain and angst that you carry about your childhood. However if the past continues to haunt your present, then we must do something to get out of this turmoil. I will strongly suggest and recommend that you seek a consultation with a psychiatrist or a clinical psychologist near you for comprehensive assessment and management of these symptoms. A psychological intervention like psychotherapy would be definitely beneficial for your condition, and need for medication can be decided after a consultation. However please be well assured that your condition can be helped with medication and psychological intervention... Hope this helps you. Best wishes for your health and future...
