Hi I understand your concern for your son.. Please talk to him.. What's concerning him.. Communication gap is the biggest barrier between relationships. Does he feels he has any mental issues ( emotional outbursts/ strained relationships/ low concentrations/or any anxieties etc) first thing? If yes is he willing to get help regarding them? If yes how can you help him personally? Secondly does he wants mental professional help? Please get clarity before we can understand situation and help you
Next Steps
can consult me after having talk with your son

Hello. I can understand how difficult it would be for a mother to see her son in pain. Has your son ever gone for counselling? If not then I would suggest he goes for counselling so that he can express his concerns in a safe space. In the meantime it would help you if you also start counselling so that we can work out on your issues. I can understand there is a lot of deeper issues which haven't spoken about. Once both of you have individually shown some progress, then we can have some family sessions which will help sort the family dynamics out.
Next Steps
Do approach a psychologist at the earliest for a session. I provide offline and online sessions.
