Hello Human, thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns, it’s not always easy to share. Understandably, you have troublesome thoughts which can be for various reasons. First, I would like to address those troublesome thoughts that could be with underlying stress or even situational. These thoughts could also be due to a traumatic experience in the past or anxiety. Also these troublesome thought could be triggered or worsened due to the pressure of not being able to tell your family about your mental health concerns. Always remember that everybody undergo some kind of mental illness at some point in their life and it's kind of similar to physical illness. Thus it's okay to tell your family and seek help. But there are a few things you could do in the meanwhile- 1. One of the easiest and efficient ways of keeping a track of your thoughts is to keep a journal handy and put the thoughts down as is, whenever you feel the need and at least once every day. 2. Exercising is a great aide in keeping her from engaging in troublesome thoughts. She doesn’t have to per se join a gym if she is unwilling to but light stretches, some breathing exercises would do the job too. 3. Along with that, you could also meditate. Meditation before sleeping can help you relax, declutter your mind and sleep better. 4. Keep a check on the number of hours you can sleep and sleep for at least 5-6 hours if not more. 5. Eat good food, whatever seems to pleasure you. At this point, it’s important that you take care of your basic needs first and eventually proceed to other self-care exercises. As there isn’t sufficient information here to identify any thinking patterns, we could get on a session and discuss further as therapy would help to modify your troublesome thoughts and learn efficient ways to manage it.
Next Steps
Please book an appointment with me via practo, we could go about understanding the underlying reasons for the troublesome thoughts and how it can be resolved. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care :)

Hello there! I understand how difficult it might be to have such thoughts. While feelings of negativity and exhaustion can be extremely difficult to deal with, it is not unmanageable. Let me tell you that you have already taken the biggest step that a lot of people fear to take; you pushed yourself to reach out for help and should be proud for taking the first step in the right direction. All the other steps will follow now that you have realised that you need to ask for help. The most crucial thing for you to do right now would be to consult a psychologist for professional help. A psychologist is a trained professional who will look into your concern from multiple perspectives and help you manage your struggles in the best way possible. There are different types of therapy and counselling that might help you deal with these difficulties and your therapist will be able to choose the best type of therapy for you and guide you from there. If you are not in a position to go for therapy, with the support of your family and friends, you can always look for online therapy or free counseling online. However, know that strength does not always have to mean that you deal with all your struggles by yourself. Strength also means knowing when to reach out and ask for help. So if you can talk to your friends or loved ones about it, that would be of great help. Remember, those who really love you and care for you will support you and encourage positive changes in your life rather than being disappointed with you and judging you. It is also important that you give yourself the time and space to make mistakes, because after all we are all imperfect human beings. Here are a few things you can do alongside therapy to improve your quality of living: Regular exercise - Exercising regularly, although a challenging task will make you feel like you achieved a goal and also keep you more positive throughout the day. Eating healthy food - As they say the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach. So what better way than keeping your tummy happy to be a more positive person. Take a break and do something you love when you are under constant pressure - It is always important to take breaks in order to help stay in a good mood. Doing something you love will increase the level of happy hormones and help you stay in a better mood. Practising gratitude - When everything seems bad, look for the good things in life. Sometimes the smallest of happy things are what makes us happy the most. Look for things, people, places, qualities in yourself or your loved ones that you are grateful for. Practising gratitude helps us identify the good thing in life and also helps in self reflection. You are strong because you reached out for help at the right time. Stay strong, stay happy!

I think you are going through depression and hopelessness. 5 - 6 years is a long period. You have to open-up and talk about it with your parents. Start talking with who is close to you in your family. I think considering the duration of the problem you should visit a psychiatrist and later start with counseling (psychologist).
