You need to address this sense of void and self behaviour that is disturbing to you. You may have suppressed memories and repressed experiences that may have had a profound impact on your nervous system and eventually your automatic responses. A psychotherapist can help you deal with all these issues.
Hi
What you’re describing doesn’t mean you’re a bad or selfish person it reflects how you’ve adapted to a difficult past. Growing up around conflict, feeling judged, and being isolated can make your mind protect itself by shutting down emotions and focusing only on self-survival. That numbness, anger, and panic you feel are not your true personality, they are learned defense patterns. When you say you don’t feel empathy or kindness, it’s often because your emotional system is overwhelmed and guarded, not because those feelings are gone.
At the same time, these patterns are now affecting your relationships and how you see yourself, which is why it feels distressing and confusing. The good part is you are aware and you don’t like this version of yourself, which means change is possible. In therapy, we work on processing past hurt, rebuilding emotional connection, and helping you feel safe enough to experience emotions again without fear or overwhelm. You don’t have to stay stuck in this cycle. Take therapy. You can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.
"Hi there, I understand that seeking help can feel overwhelming, but you’ve already taken the first brave step. I can guide you with a clear treatment plan tailored just for you, so you can feel better and regain control over your life. Talking to others and social withdrawal as per your narrative, you are having signs of depression ( so do a consultation and proper evaluation). You are having negative thoughts. You require medication with CBT. ( to get out of the negativity).
It sounds like you’ve been going through a lot for a long time, and it can really affect how you feel, react, and connect with others. Sometimes when someone has experienced stress, hurt, or difficult relationships growing up, it can lead to feeling emotionally numb, getting angry easily, or struggling in relationships.
What you’re describing could have multiple possible explanations, and it would need a proper, detailed understanding of your situation before saying anything definite.
It would really help to talk to a psychiatrist or mental health professional who can explore this with you and guide you in the right direction.
