Mental disorder
My friend told me that sometimes he gets very angry, he doesn't even know what he's doing at that time, he has no control over it. It feels like he has developed a personality within himself who wants to destroy his life. After becoming normal he feels very bad about what he said or did. He added that, at that time he feels like he knows that someone is telling truth or lie. There is a sudden shoot of energy which can only be used in anger and he becomes very lazy after becoming normal. He sleeps for like 12-13 hours after that. He gets flashbacks from the past and starts fighting unnecessarily. If he tries to stop his anger then, that personality tortures him, asks him to die. That personality wants to hurt whoever cares or loves him. Is it bipolar depression or something else? Please let me know what can I do for him.

Hi, it is good that you care about your friend. It looks like your friend could be stressed about something that is causing him to feel angry. To get the required help your friend can consult a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist will determine if your friend has depression, or bipolar based on his emotional and physical health symptoms. Your friend can also opt for Counseling. It will be good if your friend can consult a psychiatrist first and then a psychologist.
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist and psychologist.
