Mental confusion
I feel suffocated whenever I am with my family.recently I came to know about my father's affair and it has completely shattered me.He used to physically abuse my mother and it deeply scarred my mental health from childhood.Now they don't fight physically they still qurreal a lot..although there was no problem in monetary things but I lacked the peace.today even they are controlling and still have the last say about my every choice.i am totally shattered and I have lost self confidence.i want to live alone and realise what I expect from life

Hi mam Thanks for seeking help here. Your father needs help and also you .. .. As you mentioned his affairs and domestic violence is bothering ur mental health, I suggest let's have a clear discussion. We should know boundary of our relationship. This much stressors definitely......create pain and Anxiety. I suggest you to call for help and start a family intervention. Discussion with you mom and then take help from other family members for this intervention. Sometimes open discussion ...among the family members reduces our Anxiety. Don't feel lone...it's the time where you should be bold.... flee away will not help ....
