Menstrual pain after inserting iud

Asked for Female, 31 Years

I have got copper t inserted for the past 6+ months, however I get poky pain before my periods could start. Sometimes the pain last until my periods are over or a couple of days after that. Is it becos of the IUD or is it general. Please advise.
