Meningitis without fever?

Asked for Female, 18 Years

I have otitis media for 6 days now, I'm taking antibiotics for that. I've had a headache every day,but not too bad.I don't have a fever, but my neck started to hurt pretty bad yesterday, and it's really hard to put my chin close.to my chest. Is it possible to have meningitis without a fever or an awful headache?

Very unlikely.. Especially if you are having a short duration of symptoms. If the neck pain is only since a day then maybe it is more likely due to bad posture while sleeping. In any case best to get it checked once..
