Acute exudative otitis media : diagnosis
Hi doctor.. My daughter is 6 yrs old and from quite a few days she is swallowing her food very slowly and taking to long keeping / rotating in her mouth ... I thought this is because her 2 teethes had broken in last 10 days.. Might be the reason ... But now I took her to ENT DOCTOR and heard that she is having grade 4 adenoids ... Now I want to know more about it and it's cure... As my child is already taking less food... How do I overcome this problem and can i have any alternate treatment other than surgery... Pls suggest... Matter of worry....?

You can give a trial of nasal spray like metaspray 1 puff bd for 15 days and steam. But if she is a mouth breather and nose is too much obstructed and having recurrent infections then it’s better to take the adenoids out... it is a safe surgery in good hands.
