Melasma or Hyperpigmentation

Asked for Male, 24 Years

How long does it take to treat hyperpigmentation or melasma?I have dark spots around my eyes and nose? I have started treatment with hydroquinone cream on recommendation of my dermatologist 10 days ago. Cant see a difference. Is it ok?Should we go for medication?? Please help.

Have to apply for a month or two...apply sunscreens too...if not responding laser treatment and oral medications can be tried...
