I have been prescribed XET CR 12.5 And Cecon 0.25 once per night for anxiety and depression. I have been taking it for now 10 days. However, my morning sinking feeling of depression still persists. And on days my eyes feel heavy. How do I know if the medicines are working or not ? My depression is more severe in the mornings when I wake up and evenings feel better.

Talk to experienced psychiatrist online and get your health questions answered in just 5 minutes.
Antidepressant medication may take upto 6 weeks to show full response. So it is advised to continue medication until then. Your psychiatrist may try other medications if this one doesnt seem to be improving symptoms. If there is excessive sedation you may consider talking to your treating doctor about adjusting medication.
You are unlikely to see any benefits before 2 weeks , 10 days is very less you need to continue the medication as advised for 15 days at least , paroxetine is an excellent drug for anxiety and depression
