In the first month of starting solids to baby, the main point is to introduce baby to various food textures and taste. Hence the main source of food is still breastmilk. frequency : start with once a day, increase to twice a day after 2 weeks as per your baby’s intake and interest Quantity: start with 1-2 tablespoon on day 1, increase by 2-3 spoons each day as baby is accepting well Consistency: the prepared puree should be of right consistency, it shud not be too watery or too thick. It shud just fall from spoon as a lump. Check YouTube videos for more information I recommend home prepared baby foods over commercially available ones as home made foods are fresh and free of preservatives. You can give Ragi Mix, cereal mix, apple purée to start with. Later on introduce various foods based on your cultural and traditional diet Consult for more information
