Matured cataract operation
My mother just came from the appointment of our ophthalmologist and he said that she has matured cataract and her eye veins might be dried up to a certain level though he's not sure. To know further he has to test her eyes after the cataract operation. He said that 90% of her vision might come back but he can't guarantee as the cataract is pretty matured. Is it a big concern? I mean would she be able to see after the operation? Would her vision be lost? The operation will be held this weekend. I'm also attaching the reports.

Go for Visual fields analysis and oct RNFL...and thn can plan for cataract surgery alone or combined procedure for glaucoma as well as cataract

Yes you should undergo cataract surgery as soon as possible , take glaucoma specialist opinion also as cdr is more and iop is also on higher side.
