Major Depressive disorder / Catatonia
My brother was diagnosed with Catatonia and depression. He had stopped eating for 15 days and was totally unresponsive. He had to be forcibly hospitalized. He was fed by Ryles tube in the nose and then the Neuro Psychiatrist advised for 8 ECT sessions. After 6th ECT he started responding, his last i.e 8th ECT was on 4th Oct 2017. He feels tired all the time, he cannot walk to much and his body aches, hands shiver. Is this due to ECT ? How long he will feel this way ? is full recovery possible?
