Magrium supplement
I am breastfeeding mother who is taking magrium from last 4 months and it has reduced my migraines .. please tell me how long can I take this supplement . My baby is 5 months old . My magnesium level is 1.2 recently tested

It does not harm the baby, and only a very small amount passes into breast milk. You can take magnesium supplement for as long as needed -even 6–12 months, and some patients take it long-term under supervision. There is no harm in long-term magnesium supplementation as long as your kidney function is normal, which is usually the case in healthy young mothers. Your current dose is likely helping maintain normal levels and control migraines.
