I found the node in the month of May on the right side of my neck which can be felt only not seen when i keep my finger on node it dances i consulted my ent asap i was worried he told me you have had suffered an infection in past that's why it has swollen and has been with me for years may be months passed now it didn't go down nor getting bigger i went to my doc again he told me it's nothing and some lymph nodes don't go away it stays swollen for life i didn't have any other symptoms like sweats pain or Rash or itching and fever to make sure it's nothing he told me to do my tests and usg lymphocytes cbc urine stool kft lft harmonal panel All were normal and usg showed lymph node 6×5mm in reactive node in benign condition and now its September it still is there dancing in the same position and same size i thought of doing fnac but my doc told me he only refers fnac to patients with 1 or more cm bigger and there nodes grow in days and  weeks and he told me to leave it alone.

Although your doctor has given you appropriate advice but there is hardly any harm in getting a fnac done if you are very anxious - a single sub centimetre node is medically insignificant.

Your doctor has advised you the correct opinion. Lymph nodes are significant if they are >1cm in size in neck region, otherwise they are not significant.
