Several hard lumps up the back of my leg leading to a bigger one slightly further up. Skin around the lumps is very soft, numb, and also discoloured nearer the larger lump. Lumps appeared after I fell down a ladder up to a diving board head first, in March, and caught my leg on the railing. Have not seen any doctors, although very painful.

Your problem can be hematoma which occurs after injuries when clotted blood accumulates. But correct diagnosis can be made only after clinical examination. Consult a nearby physician once.
