There are quite a few causes of painful lumps on axilla.
It may be due to folliculitis, or hidradenitis suppurativa.
Are other sites like groin affected?
Is there some discharge from these?
Do they improve spontaneously or with any medicines?

This could b Hidradenitis suppurativa. It is a condition that causes small, painful lumps to form under the skin. The lumps usually develop in areas where your skin rubs together, such as the armpits. It can b sporadic and chronic if not treated. Consult a Dermatologist for the same.
