I have a lump in under arm from many years Sometimes it turns red and pains when I touch it What is the reason is it serious ?

Please attach pictures. It sounds like an epidermoid cyst that occasional gets irritated or infected. You will require treatment. I cannot say for sure until I've seen pictures
