Hi
I have already made one post regarding this about small lump between jaw and neck and no issues ur pain in that area or fever for past 6 months
As per advice from portal
I went to ent specialist in Delhi to get my lump checked he didn't even check my history or directed any test
He simply wrote one antibiotic and one probiotic and told to eat it for 5 days and if lump is completely gone don't take follow up otherwise we will start with some test
As told I don't have any fever ,pain or any throat issue so atleast he should have done complete followup he simply touched the lump and didn't ask
I informed him that I had no symptoms or an fever he instead asked that why I waited for months to get it checked didn't give any clear answer what it could be or what steps should I take instead gave an antibiotic and probiotic treatment
Should I take a second consult as I don't feel he is doing right diagnosis
Meds given capsule cyraflora and tablet moxikind cv 625 for five days

It could be an enlarged lymphnode due to some underlying infection, which is not showing symptoms. You take the medication, and if in 5 days, it doesn't regress in size, go for USG neck and FNAC from swelling.
If you want to get it properly investigated you can always confide in your doctor and he is a best guide.Sometimes infectious swellings goes away with simple antibiotics so this is logical step.If it persists you can go for further investigations. If you are not satisfied with your doctor you are always free to go for 2nd or even 3rd opinion also.On this platform you are getting multiple opinion online, but it is not a substitute for direct examination and offline consultation.
Next Steps
If your doctor decide FNAC ,USG ,CECT , Biopsy ,blood tests are there to investigate swellings.
It is best to do CT neck and submandibular region with contrast, before doing CT, do blood urea and sr creatinine, if CT is normal nothing to worry, only take antibiotics and pain killers
