Lumer bone bend observed in L2 &L4
Dear Doctors, My mother was facing sevior pain in her backbone ,after x ray it was informed that her lumber L2&L3 got bend..now she is having sevior pain in her back. As she was suffering from blood infection issues,so could not concentrate on lumber bend.but infection is under control. kindly suggest what are the possibility of recovery Lumer issues? What is the time period required for recovery? what is the treatment? Is physiotherapy will help her? . Your suggestion will be great help for me.I will be highly appreciating your feedback.

Agree with Dr Gupta plan. In addition we need to find out why she has got a bend at these bones.Whether is it because of osteoporotic fractures for which she has to check the Vitamin  D and Calcium levels and supplement if needed which is very common at the age of 63 years. If severe pain support her with a back brace .( Called LS Corset which your physiotherapist will know) These fractures take atleast 3 to 6 months for complete pain subsidence though it gradually gets better.

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate you  in detail. Control  Hypertension, Diabetes or any other metabolic disorder, if there is  any. Any way it may be tried, --. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days. --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days. (You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.) --. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Use no pillow under the head. --. Avoid painful acts & activities. -- .Do mild exercises for back and hips and knees and ankles and feet. --.(Take help of a  physiotherapist). --Do not ignore, let it not become beginning of a major problem. --Do ask for a detailed treatment plan.
