Lower lip sore
I’ve had a mouth sore for 5 days now, and yesterday it bled. I went to the doctor and he told me it was herpes (?).

It is herpes simplex. And it is a communicable condition. As 5 days are already over it will go off in some 2 or 3 days. But avoid stretching your li and touching the ulcers as they may spread to your fingers or to other persons. It is a viral disease and it is recurrent. I need to take antiviral medicines for that. U can consult me for the treatment

These are called cold sores and caused by herpes simplex virus normally. The virus remains dormant and can flare up when your immunity goes down. Normally cold sores clear up within 1-2 weeks on their own WITHOUT any treatment.
