Superb presentation of your symptoms. The number 1 observation on your MRI is an incidental finding and probably not the cause of your symptoms. The rest findings are suggestive of wear and tear and nothing can be done about the same. Your symptoms are secondary to prolonged sitting and working in awkward postures while sitting and lying. The muscles of your back have got weaker and stiffer relatively and whenever you move them they get stretched giving you that noise. You may be sitting tilted and lying more one side leading to an imbalance between both the sides and the tilt.
Next Steps
laptop ergonomics and appropriate stretching exercises. rest is an art. lying in bed and working on laptop, mobile and watching TV is actually more stressful.
