Lower back pain
What are best ways to treat/manage/prevent trigger points in lower back (QL muscle) and calves both in short term and long term? If trigger points are active what measures should be taken for immediate relief? Does Ift treatment help in trigger point release and cure?

For trigger points, best is soft tissue manual therapy techniques, that would break/release trigger points. If they r latent u wont feel anything except maybe some tightness or heavyness. But if they r active they r nuisance. Its better to go for full release of the trigger points....instead of looking for immediate things. For immediate, u can use hot fomentation, dry needling(very effective). If u use ur posture properly, there is less chance that trigger points occur. So after they r treated. Do the exercises prescribed. And keep doing them atleast thrice weekly afterwards.
