Low weight
Dear Dr. My baby will turned to 6month on 10th June. His current weight is 5.30kg and his birth weight was 3.06 it should be more than double if am not wrong. He sleeps well in the night but day time he hardly sleeps an hour each 4-5 times after nursing. He drink 1ltr formula milk per day plus two to three time breastfed. Also from last 15-20 days I introduced semi solids like mung dal khichadi, banana or apple or mango pulp still weight gain is not satisfactory.  Please suggest what went wrong. Thanks in advance

You should reduce formulae milk and add more variety of foods at intervals of 6-7days because there should be some time develop taste for one food at once.
Health Tips
Salt and sugar are not recommended in baby's food until 1 year of age. Check for allergy symptoms when you are introducing a new food to your baby and stop feeding you if you find any symptoms. Feed your baby with breastmilk or formula milk on demand other than the timings mentioned in the chart. Always check with your pediatrician before introducing any new food.

There are couple of things to take care. 1. Formula should be prepared in proper dilution. 2. Start calcium, iron and vit d supplements. 3. Watch for development parameters like activities as per age. 4. Complementary feed should be smooth and thick not watery
