Low pulse rate
Can anyone read report and suggest if pacemaker is essential in this case. My mom has low pulse rate. Can this has been treated with medication or naturally without pacemaker. Mom has her history. She had a breast cancer and her left breast has been removed and done with the shock treatment 18 years back. Recently in April she has COVID. She has taken covishield vaccination. Please advise

Hi. The ECG does show a rhythm disturbance which warrants pacemaker implantation provided correctable and reversible causes are ruled out.I am sure your doctor would have ruled that out before suggesting pacemaker. Your mother also already has RV dysfunction (right ventricular pumping is weak, probably post breast cancer treatment) so th doctor may suggest a specific type of pacemaker for her. Please go with your treating doctors advice.

Yes a pacemaker is needed, better question would be - what type of pacemaker is needed for her. That will need a few tests
