Low potassium level
My father has low body potassium level. It was decreased to 1.0 and he was very week and hospitalized. Now after 7 days of injecting with potassium it increased to 3.0, but it is decreasing on daily basis and came down to 2.0 now. He is taking potassium tablets and having potassium rich food, but still the level is decreasing daily. What could be the cause of it? The hospital doctor is not able to diagnose.

Is he having diarrhea, vomiting or is he  taking  any medications like laxatives or for high BP etc, because  some of these reasons could cause low potassium. Continue high potassium diet like bananas, kiwi, water melon, raisins , spinach etc.
