Low Platelets count and High Lymphocytes
Hi Doctors.. Last ten days before I did my blood test and my platelet count is 82000 ...Now yesterday one more time I did the blood test.Now my platelet count is 68000..I don't have any other symptoms...I have done a peripheral semar test also... Reports are attached... please suggest to me what step i need to takecare next... Thanks

Hi, You have low platelet counts and since you have mentioned that you don't have any other symptoms of a recent fever like illness, it needs to be worked up. 1. Get a manual platelet count done 2. Check you vitamin b12 levels 3. Need a USG abdomen 4. Get your entire medication history ready Consult with the above We are looking at ruling out a platelet disorder. Take care

Did you have a fever or taken any meds. In recent past?

Take green leafy vegetables,  beetroot,  fresh fruits particularly papaya . If possible juice of papaya leaves. Repeat platelet count after about 10 days and let me know results.
