Low platelate count
My mother is ra patient she has to go under a surgery for keen replacement by 15 of feb at aiims She is currently on folitrax 10mg And i think due to which her blood reports are not good plateles count is about 105000 may be due to folitrax is it possible??? she has taken folitrax a before test??? Is thus the reason? She is currently taking Thyronorm 62.5 empty stomach Pantop D-40 morning empty stomach Osteofos-70 once weekly morning empty stomach Uprise 60k once weekly Folitrax once weekly Folic acid at night Shelcal 500mg night Etoshine-90 night

No increase in platelets is not due to folitrax.. It’s due to viscosity of blood..

Yes folitrax (i.e methotrxate) can decrease platelet count ( along with rbc and wbc count) by directly supressing their production. Consult your Rheumatologist for further advice.
