Hi Sir /Mam. I presume that the report is from a reliable lab. Low neutrophil count can occur due to many causes but the most common cause is Transient Neutropenia due to viral infection.  It subsides within two weeks. Of course one needs to see the child in person and repeat the counts depending on the condition of the child to find out the cause.
Next Steps
Review with your doctor after few days and may be repeat a blood counts at a reliable lab

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Apart from low neurophil count, is there any other thing that is positive? Yes. As suggested by your doctor. You do not have to worry about low neutrophil count. Kindly consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
