Low heart rate
The patient has been tracking the pulse rate using a pulse oximeter, and it is in the range of 54-65. Is this normal for a 58yo male? Does this require medical diagnosis? The patient is diabetic and takes insulin twice a day. He had a mild stroke 4 years back and takes medication for nerve related disorder also.

Heart rate in lower limit may occur in sports athletes or regular exercises. It may depends upon the medication he is taking also.  He need a consultation to discuss his complete clinical profile, medications and if needed evaluation of thyroid levels.. Take care.
